Reports: Champs retain House, Allen
by FOXSports.com
The Celtics reached agreements with Eddie House and Tony Allen, according to Boston media.
House emerged in the NBA Finals to help the Celtics beat the Lakers. He scored 11 points in Game 4, including a key 3-pointer as Boston rallied for a road victory and ended up winning the series in six games.
House will make $2.7 million next season and has a $2.9 million player option for a second season, according to the Boston Globe. The paper reported that Allen agreed to a two-year deal paying $2.5 million each season.
Both players were more productive in the regular season than the playoffs. Allen averaged 6.6 points and just over 18 minutes during the regular season, but only 1.3 points in about 4 minutes per game in the playoffs. House averaged 7.5 points and 19 minutes in the regular season, then 2.5 points and just under 8 minutes in the playoffs.
