Great Clips Racing is diving in with Dreamworks to promote the upcoming movie "Shark Tale"
by FOXSports.com
"I'm excited to race the No. 38 Great Clips/"Shark Tale" Dodge at four upcoming Busch races," said Kahne. "I think it's one of the coolest looking paint schemes that I've seen in awhile. Great Clips is really supporting their program with a "Shark Tale" paint scheme as well as offering in-salon sweepstakes where lucky fans win "Shark Tale" prizes. It's a win-win situation for both Great Clips and DreamWorks because they're driving traffic to both venues during the process. I can't wait to see the movie, but most importantly, I can't wait to drive the "Shark Tale" Dodge!"
In addition to the on-track visibility for its annual Back-to-School promotion, Great Clips is offering the "Lookin' Good Getaway," an in-salon sweepstakes in which the grand-prize winner has the opportunity to win a trip to the premiere of "Shark Tale."
First-place winners will receive home theaters, which include surround sound decoders, DVD/CD/MP3 player, digital AM/FM tuner and speakers. Other lucky winners will receive "Shark Tale" t-shirts and complimentary Great Clips haircut certificates.
"We are excited to see our very own Kasey Kahne skippering the No. 38 Great Clips/"Shark Tale" car," said Great Clips Vice President of Marketing Terri Miller. "The relationship with DreamWorks and "Shark Tale" has created a great Back-to-School promotion for Great Clips. The special paint scheme by Action Performance will add another exciting element to the event. Let the fin begin!"
The "Lookin' Good Getaway" began August 2, and will conclude August 31. Great Clips customers can register to win at participating salons, or on the web at www.greatclips.com/getaway.
Great Clips has also partnered with Action Performance Companies, Inc., the leader in the design, promotion and distribution of licensed motorsports merchandise. What is the story of "Shark Tale"?
"Shark Tale" is the story of what happens when one little fish tells a great white lie...
Oscar is a fast talking little fish who dreams big. But his big dreams land him in hot water when a great white lie turns him into an unlikely hero. At first, his fellow fish swallow Oscar's story hook, line and sinker and he is showered with fame and fortune. It's all going along swimmingly, until it starts to become clear that Oscar's tale about being the defender of the Reef is all wet. Oscar is finding out that being a hero comes at a Market Price when his lie threatens to make him the Catch of the Day. Now he has to tread water until he can get the scales to tip back in his favor again.
"Shark Tale" is scheduled to be released October 1, 2004.
