Farmers Student Athlete Citizens
Recognized, Honored By Fox Sports Detroit
by FOXSports.com
The Farmers Student Athlete Citizen Award recognizes outstanding high school student athletes that are making a difference on the athletic field, in the classroom and in the communities they represent.
Administrators and coaches from 768 high schools statewide have been invited to nominate student-athletes who carry a grade point average of 2.5 or greater (on a 4.0 scale) and are involved in extracurricular activities (including community service). Athletic achievements in both individual and team sports will be considered. The monthly winner is determined by a selection committee comprised of personnel from Farmers and Fox Sports Detroit.
The Farmers Student Athlete Citizen Award honorees will receive a plaque presented by a local Farmers Insurance representative and be featured in a 30-second vignette to run throughout the following month during Fox Sports Detroit programming.
Farmers Insurance Group is a presenting sponsor of Fox Sports Detroit's 2008-09 coverage of Michigan High School Athletic Association football and basketball championship events.
