K-State's Roberson could miss Fiesta Bowl

Tempe, AZ (Sports Network) - quarterback Ell Roberson might miss Friday's Fiesta Bowl versus .

Roberson apparently has been involved in a sexual assault case. ABC's John Saunders made the announcement during the halftime show at the Rose Bowl.

According to Paradise Valley Police Lt. Ron Warner, Roberson told police that he had consensual sex with a 22-year-old woman, who was an acquaintance of the quarterback. Warner also said that neither the woman or Roberson were staying in the room where they had sex.

Athletic Director Ken Weiser said that the decision on whether to play Roberson or sit him would be up to Wildcat head coach Bill Snyder.

The senior from Baytown, Texas needs just 67 yards to become the third player in NCAA Division I history to rush for 1,000 yards and pass for 2,000 in the same season.

The 33rd annual Fiesta Bowl features a pair of national heavyweights, as the eighth-ranked Wildcats tangle with the seventh-ranked Buckeyes. finds itself back on the same field where it beat Miami last year for the national championship.
